Nixon's Deli Tabernacle,NJ

Post by SnoDrtRider » Tue Jul 17, 2018 7:14 am

After riding by Nixon's for decades and never stopping I had a hankering for a Corned Beef on Rye while out riding on Saturday.
I consider myself a Corned Beef aficionado and judge all delis by their Corned Beef.

I was disappointed... Boars Head corned beef? Not up to par people! Plus it was sliced too thick which could have been part of the problem.
Most delis also include a pickle with the sandwich not here!
Price for quality was outrageous... $9.00 plus change for a $5-$6 sandwich.

I will cross this one off my list.

Tough review but hey...corned beef in the pine Barrens? Not a Leeds family staple.

I usually stick with the bacon and egg on a hard roll, a step up from that offered at WaWa.

BTW: the bar across the street usually has a good selection of soup in the winter months.
...nowadays I have two good wheels
And I seek refuge in aluminum and steel
It takes me out there for just a little while
And the years fall away with every mile
