Winter Project

Postby need2boat » Tue Oct 10, 2017 10:51 am

This 86 YZ250 passed though a few hands before mine and it seems all of them took a few parts and now in need of TLC. My hope is to get it back on the dirt in next year for the NESCO vintage track day. So for those of you out and about. I'm on the hunt for 85-87 YZ250 parts or a parts bike.

Currently down to the frame, Most parts are easily enough to find on ebay but if I'm going to send out the the cylinder to power seal for work I'd like to find correct year. The one I pulled off is from 87. Currently following up on a few leads, The main bearing feels good but I haven't got it on the bench as of yet.

I've got most of what i need but wasn't expecting to split the cases plus the extra money needed so it's on the back burner for now. I did get the frame powder coated and needed parts for the top end.
