I got a little involved with chores today so I don't have the final plan ready yet. There are a total of 13 stops in the tour; 7 on day one and 6 on day 2. Three of these stops are life saving stations not light houses. As it stands now it looks like day one would be almost 9 hours and day 2 is about 8.5 hours including lunch stops. We could reduce the time if we didn't stop at the life saving stations. I estimate we would save about 30 minutes on day one and about an hour on day 2. What do you think about cutting out these stations and only visiting light houses? Either way works for me. :sip

I'm in Pete. I like the idea of the Travelodge. I also have a friend who may be interested.

I checked the Courtyard in Lincroft/Red Bank and the rate I see for Friday night is $212. Did you get a better rate?

I just booked Holiday Inn in Hazlet, NJ for Friday night. About $150 includes taxes and breakfast. If folks are staying at different hotels in that area, we should pick a rendezvous point/time Saturday morning and/or a dinner for Friday night. I'm still deciding on what to do Saturday night. Since I'm not far from home...might spend the night there and meet up with the group on Sunday morning.

My vote would be to do the entire challenge.
