I believe the yearly charter fee is $15 and the name, and MOA club number, of ten people

So as long as you have 10 members in the club, The club can join which seems like a fair price. Does the 15.00 get out name in some type of list or directory local riders use? just interested in what the yearly 15.00 gets us.

OK - Thanks to the ten members that belong to the BMWMOA the club gets to advertise its events (rally, monthly meeting, swap meet) in a monthly magazine, in the club anonymous book and also on a professionally maintained website, send representatives to seminars (put on by BMWMOA) designed to help the local club operate, The Club can get a reserved camping spot at national rallys, and access to the Regional Coordinator (for help on club type issues), a voice at the MOA table through the Chartered Club Liaison.

It's glaring obvious that the $15 a year from a bunch of Chartered Clubs doesn't financially fund all the Club benefits, the membership dues fill in the gap.
So I guess if you belong to a local club and not a member of the BMWMOA --- that's called a free ride.

Thanks Harry for indulging my questions. I agree for the 15.00 it's a great value to the club.

This months BMWMOA magazine lists the entertainment lined up for the rally. Every night Wednesday through Saturday looks to be really interesting, and considering the location I'll assume that we'll be seeing some local groups scattered about during the day. In past rallies I been surprised by local artists that pop up during the day to show their talent, everything from a guy/gal with a guitar to a 10 member Caribbean steel drum band. Add a comfortable chair (Kermit) and an adult beverage (1792 Bourbon) and I'm looking forward to some quality listening time.
BTW: Hard liqueur is considerably cheaper in Tennessee so if you drink the good stuff think about buying it down there. Just sayin

AMA definitely. MOA? Can you subscribe without the mag? 50 for the national is a bargain.

1 on Nancy's remarks.

OMT - Joe, you're a troublemaker... ;-)

Harry, you rock. (more specifically - on the 1792. Cheers. )

PS add a maduro Punch London Club to that.

Grabbed this from SKYLANDS newsletter forwarded from Bill Dudley (Shore Riders...) !

TRAFFIC ALERT from GREG SAMPLE - BONNAROO MUSIC FESTIVAL

It just dawned on me that also occurring in Middle Tennessee next week
is the annual Bonnaroo Music Festival that runs June 13-16. It's held
on a farm in Manchester, TN, about an hour southeast of Nashville on
I-24. There will be around 70,000 folks at this event. Please let your
members know to be aware that if you're traveling on Interstate 24, 40
or 65 heading into/leaving Nashville, you're likely going to see a lot
of extra traffic on the roads here in TN.

The long range weather forecast calls for highs in the mid-80s, lows in
the mid-60s and 20% - 40% chance of thunderstorms - pretty typical
weather for us here. Oh yeah, just so you know, by 5:15 in the morning
there's enough daylight to see just fine, and sunset is around 8:00.

See everyone soon, and ride safe!
