Brett, yeah that's odd. Not sure what happened with the link there. I loaded everything into my GPS last night and looked over the routes. Looking at the times on Basecamp, leaving the Wawa at 7:30 and factoring in a 45 min stop for brunch/lunch it puts us at Camp West Mar at 1:38pm of course not taking any traffic into consideration. That still gives us enough time for anything additional and still make the Ice Cream ride out there. Plus, I am sure we can make some time up in some areas that Basecamp is just basing the time on road speed limits and such.
You can feel free to text my cell tomorrow, 856-904-3665.

I'll "try" to get there by 7:00am. I'll send you a text message when I'm ready to leave my house. Keep in mind that Wawa (2971 US-322, Logan Township, NJ) is 109 miles and 1 hour and 45 minutes from my house. Your map link doesn't seem to point to the Wawa. Strange.

Brett, the smokehouse is still there. its under a different name now and apparently has new owners. the main issue is that when we will be riding through that area we may be much earlier than they are open as most places don't open until 11am in that area. I did find a place close but slightly off route on 24 called Hopewell Family Restaurant (https://www.hopewellstationfamilyrestaurant.com/). basically a family owned diner that will be open all day so that looks like a winner. there is also a Rutters we will pass by right in that area which makes a good mid route fuel stop.

Some of the waypoints for food stops are no longer in business. For example, the Stewartstown Smokehouse, which I believe you are referring to.
Anthony, the meeting time/location should be ok. I'll get back to you later this evening to confirm. I believe the route I loaded into MRA that was posted here was about 147 miles.
Brett Hmmm, looks like the restaurant changed names.

Ron, everything is all good. Loaded the routes up in Base Camp and they are correct including all of the waypoints for food places. The issue was def something happening in MyRoute.

Anthony, if I remember correctly, there are a few lunch and fuel spots listed as waypoints in the GPX. One is a very tasty BBQ spot, the other is a decent diner at a circle. FYI Ron

Update, it is def an issue with MyRoute. Seems when I switch the map to HERE for Garmin, it remaps it and puts us on I83. When I use the default Open Street Map, it seems it stays on all backroads but I get a message stating "The selected mode only works with the HERE / TomTom map." I will check it in Base Camp when I am home as I have had better results with that and will look for other potential lunch spots as it appears we won't be anywhere near where the route was trying to take me.

Ron,
I will double check when I get home and I can get on Base Camp. Since I am at work I loaded it onto my phone and into the MyRoute App and something may have happened as it does have us on 83 for a short stint. possibly an issue there.

Guys, I am jumping in here real quick. I displayed my route below. There is literally ZERO highway travel involved in this route. Please check your GPS settings and reload the file. Something doesn't look right. This route is all back roads, mostly through Amish country. If you are getting on 83, the file is corrupt. FYI Ron

Brett,
I was taking a look at Ron's route down to the SRR and it looks to be 170 miles and roughly 4.5 hours travel time not considering any traffic. It begins right at the Comm Barry Bridge off 322 so a good meeting spot would be the Wawa that is right before that which is here (https://maps.app.goo.gl/7imMgAUKdmbVCVry8). I am about 25 mins away from there. I figure I can try to be there by 7am Friday, grab some breakfast and top off fuel and be ready to roll out by 7:30am. On the route there weren't many options for a lunch stop as many of the cool places I found around the halfway mark wouldn't be open when we were passing through so I located a Cracker Barrell in New Freedom, PA (13600 Wolfe Rd, New Freedom, PA 17349) which is right before we hop on 83 and cross over into MD. Opposite side of the road there is also a Royal Farms where we can top off fuel and that should get us all the way to the rally. With stopping for lunch I estimate that puts us at the rally between 1 and 2, maybe sooner depending traffic and how the ride goes which gives us plenty of time to be ready for the ice cream ride which leaves at 3:45 on Friday.
Let me know if this works for you and also if anyone else from our club is going to this rally let me know if you wanna join the ride along there.

I just registered for this over the weekend. Just wondering if anyone else is doing this and wanted to ride up together?

I'm registered and willing to ride up with another rider. I'll be at the NS450. I'm the guy with the black HD Ultra. I could meet you somewhere since I'm coming from northern NJ. Brett

Ron, I think I grabbed these from you last year. Pretty sure they are still saved in my Basecamp. I didn't use them last year as I ended up trailering the bike with the truck but this year I'll be riding there.

I have great routes to and from this rally, as I attended this rally over twenty-five times. These were created by Phil Levin. Mostly backroads, through Amish country. Enjoy. They are attached to this message. Ron

Looks like the DC BMW club posted up some info for this year's rally. Not much posted yet but they have released the dates. From their website...
HOLD THE DATES!!! JUNE 5-7, 2026
Our 51st Annual Square Route Rally will be held once again at the YMCA Camp West Mar in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains.
It’s an ideal site close to the MABDR, with many scenic twisty roads both paved and unpaved, comfy bunkhouses and acres of comfortable grass fields or a mature tree canopy for those who enjoy camping, and room for a few RVs as well. It also features a large dining hall, an open pavilion with picnic tables that serves as Beer Haus & Seminar Central. The camp also has large spacious bathrooms & shower houses.
Stay tuned for more details to come. We’ll let you know when registration opens.
