Exploring the possibility of an extended 450 this coming Spring...

Lynn and I have done this several times ...

Do day one of the 450 then head to Wellsboro, Pa for a few days...

We are very familiar with the area from Wellsboro out to Allegheny National Forest and in between.

I am proposing that anyone interested in an extended 450 post up...

We are going no matter and would like any others who have the time tag along...

There will be the usual return route for those who do not wish to extend their ride and keep it to a normal 450.

Definitely interested in this.

I've never been a fan of the 450 format of up and right back home the next day.

Really doesn't give you time to enjoy any of the area.

It was nice getting to go up a day early this year to go to Woodstock since we were so close.

Brian Evans and I detoured one year on a Burnt Cabins 450 trip and spent several hours in Gettysburg which is always fun and interesting. It wouldn't be hard to make the trip down to Harpers Ferry and that general area either.

It's not just about the ride for me- I like to visit historical and other interesting places to help break up the riding too.

To peak everyone's interest...

From Wellsboro it is an easy reach to...

PA Route 44 out of Coudersport through Cherry Springs State Park is a great ride and it is one of the darkest places in the Eastern United States... When you get to the bottom of the run there are many observatories out in the fields.

The PA Grand Canyon (AKA) Pine Creek Gorge is a great ride in either direction we usually do this ride several times while we are in the area.
